A sought-after expert on urban affairs, Elvin has served in top leadership posts in some of America’s oldest and most historic social advocacy organizations for more than twenty-five years.

Having worked in a homeless shelter, in Corporate America, on Wall Street in New York City and on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., Elvin possesses the capacity to effectively serve individuals, corporations, organizations and communities. As the youngest Chief of Staff in the history of the National Urban League, one of the largest civil rights organization in the United States, he served as a liaison to some of the top executives of nearly 500 corporations and organizations from around the world. As the youngest Chief of Staff for the Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first Black Greek Letter Organization, he worked with the Washington, DC Martin Luther King, Jr. National Memorial Foundation, Inc. to build a lasting memorial on the national mall to America’s greatest dreamer. His lifelong work with leading African-American groups and organizations has positioned him as one of the nation’s premier experts and thought-leaders on the challenges facing Black America and, most importantly, how to help make things better.

A devoted husband and father of three, Elvin continues to remain committed to public activism and community service as a resident of South Florida.
